Watch: How to Test Degradability of Bentonite Sulfur
In the first video in this series, we discussed why high quality is vital to ensuring the consistent breakdown of degradable sulfur in the field.
But how can you tell if a degradable sulfur product is working as promised – and providing the plant-available nutrients your customers are paying for?
Watch as Keg River’s Brooke Bateman walks you through a simple 24-hour sulfur degradability test.
This test allows you to see what percentage of pastilles break down into an optimal particle size of approximately 180 microns or less. It provides a valuable way to compare products to determine which ones will perform best in the field.
This sulfur degradability test will be of interest to fertilizer buyers, retailers and growers alike. If you are having quality-related concerns with your bentonite sulfur source, this test can determine if the product is meeting recommended degradability standards.
